What is Fujairah Free Zone?
Fujairah Free Zone is a government-created free zone just north of Fujairah City, run by the Fujairah Free Zone Authority (FFZA). Gulf News gave its start as 28 November 1987 under Emiri decree No. 6 of 1987, issued on the instruction of Fujairah's Ruler. Wikipedia places the zone in an area known as Sakamkam, and the u.ae portal describes it as surrounding the Port of Fujairah.
Wikipedia adds that the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone is nearby, that cargo flights run through Fujairah International Airport south of the city, and that the port gives access to the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean.

- 2023: during a ministry visit hosted by FFZA's director general, the delegation toured industrial firms in cement, electrical systems and cables, and medical products, one of them exporting to more than 70 countries.
