Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) and DMCC: what a company website needs
Jumeirah Lakes Towers is a cluster of towers around artificial lakes that DMCC developed and operates. Many companies there are trade, commodity or technology firms that sell to buyers abroad.

Jumeirah Lakes Towers, usually shortened to JLT, is a mixed residential and commercial district in Dubai developed by DMCC, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, a free zone and Government of Dubai authority. A JLT company website often addresses overseas buyers, so it needs clear English, Arabic where useful, credible detail and WhatsApp contact. Tooba Web builds such sites remotely from Istanbul.

What is Jumeirah Lakes Towers?
Jumeirah Lakes Towers is a district of residential and commercial towers set around artificial lakes in the north-west of Dubai. Wikipedia names DMCC as its developer and places it near Dubai Marina, Emirates Hills and Jebel Ali, bordering Sheikh Zayed Road, with an area of 1.8 square kilometres. Towers are mostly 35 to 45 floors, with Almas Tower of 66 floors as the centrepiece. Wikipedia estimates about 60,000 residents and a working population of about 120,000.
The lake plan has changed over time. DMCC announced in late 2012 that Lake Elucio would be drained and replaced by a 55,000 square metre park, and Lake Allure was later renamed JLT Lake. Tower counts differ between sources, so we give none, and the same caution applies to cluster numbers.
What is DMCC and how does it relate to JLT?
DMCC is a free zone and a Government of Dubai authority that operates JLT alongside a second development, Uptown Dubai. On its own site, DMCC says it was established in 2002 and states it has more than 26,000 registered companies, drawn from 180 countries. Its Almas Tower headquarters opened in 2008.
DMCC lists ecosystems including gold, diamonds and coloured gemstones, tea, coffee and cacao, energy, maritime, tech, AI, crypto and financial services. The Red Line serves JLT with a DMCC station, opened on 15 October 2010, and the Sobha Realty station, so staff and visitors can arrive without a car.
Free zone or mainland: which licence does a JLT company hold?
A company in JLT may hold a DMCC free zone licence, but the address alone does not prove it. The DMCC page we read does not say whether every JLT tenant is a DMCC member, and JLT also has residents and other occupiers. Ask for the licence itself and check it on the issuing authority's register.
| Licence route | Authority | Point to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| DMCC free zone | DMCC | Permitted activities on the licence |
| Mainland Dubai | Department of Economy and Tourism | Activity code and trade name |
| Free zone company selling in the city | DMCC plus a DET permit | Conditions under Resolution No. (11) of 2025 |
Please confirm with the relevant authority or a lawyer.
Which kinds of company suit a JLT website brief?
The business categories DMCC itself names are commodity and trade-related, with technology and financial services alongside. That means many JLT firms serve other businesses abroad, and their customers judge them by what is on the website before any call.
- Trading and sourcing companies: product categories, origin, documents, contact route
- Technology and crypto firms: plain explanation of the service and who is behind it
- Service consultancies: scope, languages, response time
We make no claim about how many such companies sit in JLT, and we have no verified search data for the area.
How does remote delivery from Istanbul work for a JLT client?
We deliver JLT projects entirely online from Istanbul, one hour behind Dubai. We have no office, staff or Google Business Profile in the UAE, and we are not DMCC members or partners. This suits firms whose buyers are overseas, since the site is built to be read from anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Is JLT a free zone?
JLT is developed and operated by DMCC, which is a free zone and a Government of Dubai authority. However, the DMCC page we read does not state that every company in JLT is licensed by DMCC, so check each company's licence on the register of the authority that issued it.
What does DMCC stand for?
DMCC stands for Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. It describes itself as a Dubai-headquartered business hub, established in 2002, with sectors that include gold, diamonds, tea, coffee and cacao, energy, tech and financial services. These facts come from DMCC's own website.
Are you a DMCC member or partner?
No. Tooba Web is a brand of Tuba Yazılım in Istanbul and has no partnership with DMCC or any authority. We have no office, staff or Google Business Profile in the UAE. We simply build websites for businesses located in or near JLT.
Can the website attract overseas buyers?
We design sites so that overseas buyers can understand what you do, in English and Arabic where needed, and we apply technical SEO. We cannot promise rankings, traffic or enquiries. A clear structure and credible detail make a site easier to judge.
Do you build e-commerce for trading firms?
No, we do not build online shops or e-commerce. For trading firms we build informational websites with product category pages, a quote request form and WhatsApp contact, and we can discuss custom software if you need a dashboard or internal tool.
