Websites for companies in Meydan, Dubai
Meydan is a racecourse, a city development and a free zone under one name, so a company that uses the word has to say which it means. The racing season also gives its website a calendar that punishes stale dates.
Meydan in Dubai is mainly known for Meydan Racecourse, home of the Dubai World Cup, and the name also covers the Meydan City development and Meydan Free Zone, which the Dubai government lists among its free zones. A website there should say exactly which Meydan it means and keep event dates current. Tooba Web builds such sites remotely from Istanbul.

What does the name Meydan cover?
Meydan names several different things: a racecourse, a city development and a free zone. The Dubai Racing Club gives the racecourse's address as Al Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba 1, and Wikipedia says it opened on 27 March 2010 on the site of the former Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. Wikipedia's articles also list sub-districts of the wider development, among them Meydan Metropolis, Meydan Horizons and Godolphin Parks.
The Dubai Meydan City article carries a notice that it needs updating, so we do not say which parts are finished. Meydan Free Zone, which the Dubai government lists among its free zones, says on its About page that it is located within Meydan City, alongside the racecourse.
How does the racing calendar shape a Meydan website?
The Dubai Racing Carnival runs from November to March and the Dubai World Cup meeting is held on the last Saturday of March, so event information follows a fixed annual cycle. The Dubai Racing Club says the first Dubai World Cup was held in 1996 and that the grandstand has seating for more than 60,000.
A business serving race-week visitors, such as a transport, hospitality or events firm, needs pages that carry the year in the heading and are updated or archived when the season ends. Dates and ticket details belong to the organiser, so link to the official source instead of repeating them.
Which licence does a Meydan business hold?
A Meydan address alone does not show whether a company is on the mainland or licensed by Meydan Free Zone. The Dubai government's portal defines the mainland as everything outside the free zones, says DET manages mainland licensing and says each free zone has its own rules and regulatory authority.
| Situation | Who decides, according to the sources |
|---|---|
| Mainland company | DET, per the Dubai government portal |
| Company in Meydan Free Zone | The free zone, which calls itself a free economic zone within Meydan City |
| Free zone company trading elsewhere in Dubai | The zone plus DET permission for specific activities, under Resolution No. (11) of 2025 |
Meydan Free Zone's own site also mentions an NOC with DET approval for operating on the mainland. Treat every licence statement on your site as something to confirm with Meydan Free Zone, DET or a lawyer first.
What should a Meydan website do?
A Meydan website should say which Meydan it belongs to, show dated information openly and send ticket buyers to the organiser. Because we do not build online shops or ticketing, event sales stay with the official seller, and your site explains what you offer around the event.
- Name the exact place: the racecourse, a Meydan City district or Meydan Free Zone.
- Put the season or year in the headings of event pages.
- Link tickets and race-day details to the official source.
- Archive or redirect last season's pages when the new calendar starts.
- Keep licence and activity wording identical to your documents.
How does remote work from Istanbul fit the racing season?
Because the racing season sets the deadline, we agree a launch date by counting back from November and work to it remotely. Tooba Web is a brand of Tuba Yazılım in Istanbul, with no office, staff, address or Google Business Profile in the UAE, and no connection with the Dubai Racing Club, Meydan Free Zone or any Meydan company.
The brief, drafts and invoices go through WhatsApp at +90 216 393 10 07, and video calls use the one-hour gap between Istanbul and the UAE. You supply photographs and licence wording; we return drafts as private links and run revision rounds before launch. For event-period campaigns see Google Ads management.
Frequently asked questions
Is Meydan Racecourse the same as Meydan Free Zone?
No. Wikipedia says the racecourse is owned by the Dubai Racing Club and opened on 27 March 2010; Meydan Free Zone is a separate free economic zone that describes itself as located within Meydan City, alongside the racecourse. The Dubai government lists Meydan Free Zone among its free zones. A website should name the one it means.
When is the Dubai World Cup?
The Dubai Racing Club says the Dubai World Cup meeting is held annually on the last Saturday of March, within a Dubai Racing Carnival that runs from November to March. Exact dates change each year, so check the club's calendar and never copy last season's dates onto a business page.
Do you have an office in Meydan?
No. Tooba Web is a brand of Tuba Yazılım in Istanbul and works only remotely. We have no office, staff, address or Google Business Profile in Meydan or anywhere in the UAE, and no connection with the racecourse, Meydan Hotel or any other company there. Contact is by WhatsApp, email and video call.
Can you sell race tickets or packages through my site?
No. We do not build online shops, checkouts or ticketing. Your website can describe your hospitality, transport or event service and send enquiries to you by form or WhatsApp. Tickets and race-day details should link to the organiser, whose terms and dates you do not control.
Does a Meydan Free Zone licence let me trade across Dubai?
Not automatically. The Dubai government says each free zone has its own rules, and Executive Council Resolution No. (11) of 2025 lets the Department of Economy and Tourism permit a free zone establishment to operate elsewhere in Dubai for specific activities. Confirm what your licence allows with Meydan Free Zone, DET or a lawyer.
