People still search for KIZAD, but the operator is now KEZAD Group. A company site here has to name its zone, licence and location precisely.
The Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) lies beside Khalifa Port between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and, since September 2022, forms part of AD Ports Group's KEZAD Group. What are KIZAD and KEZAD?
KIZAD is the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi, now part of KEZAD Group, which AD Ports Group formed in September 2022. The group's announcement says KIZAD and the Specialised Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) were combined into 12 economic zones covering 550 square kilometres, 100 of them designated free zones. AD Ports describes KEZAD as established in 2010 and operational since 2012, between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with Khalifa Port as its maritime gateway.
Because people still type both names, a company page should explain the link once. After that it can use whichever name appears on its licence.
Which industries and facilities does KEZAD list?
KEZAD names metals, polymers, food processing, automotive, logistics, life science and speciality chemicals as its key industries. Its facilities run from serviced land plots and pre-built warehouses to light industrial units, build-to-suit sites and free zone offices for start-ups. KEZAD says its Josoor platform connects to more than 1,750 companies operating in KEZAD.
In June 2026 KEZAD announced an SME Hub of 25,260 square metres in KEZAD A, with 175 micro industrial units starting at 100 square metres. Small manufacturers will then appear in the same searches as large plants, which makes clear structure matter more than size.
Free zone or domestic zone: what may the website say?
KEZAD offers both a free zone and a mainland Domestic Economic Zone, and a website should describe the one you actually hold. The UAE government portal says free zone companies generally cannot sell directly on the mainland without the required licences or approvals.

KEZAD's licence types are industrial, trading (or general trading) and service. Confirm your own position with KEZAD or a lawyer.
What should an industrial company's website do?
It should help a procurement officer decide whether to send a request for quotation. That means product families with specification tables, certificates you can document, a quote form that captures quantity, grade and destination, and WhatsApp for early questions. We do not build online shops, so the site presents the range and takes enquiries instead of payment.
Buyer languages follow trade routes. KEZAD's own site is offered in English, Arabic and Chinese, and yours may need the languages of the markets you really export to. Add them gradually, with each specification checked by someone who knows the product.
How should a site describe where the plant is?
Name the exact KEZAD zone rather than just Abu Dhabi, because the group's zones lie in different places. KEZAD and AD Ports use these names:
- KEZAD Al Ma'mourah, Areas A and B, beside Khalifa Port
- KEZAD Al Ain, in the inland city of Al Ain
- KEZAD Musaffah, which includes the ICAD zones
Add the plot or road, the nearest gate and a map pin. A map listing suits only a business with a real, staffed address. Mention the older KIZAD name once, so that searches using it still find you.

KEZAD says free zone companies sell in the local market through distributors, local agents or a dual licence, while Domestic Economic Zone companies sell directly. The UAE government portal also says direct mainland sales by free zone companies are generally not permitted without the required approvals. Confirm your position with KEZAD or a lawyer.
