Websites for companies based in SRTIP (SPARK), Sharjah
A technology company in a research park has to explain something new to people who have never seen it. The website is where that explanation lives.

The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), also branded SPARK, is a Sharjah free zone set up by decree in 2016, next to University City. A website for a company there should explain the technology in plain language, show proof you can document, and give investors and pilot customers one clear next step. Tooba Web builds it remotely from Istanbul.

What is SRTIP, and why is it also called SPARK?
SRTIP is a Sharjah free zone for research, technology and innovation companies, and SPARK is the short name its recent materials use. The University City website says it was established in 2016 by decree of the Ruler of Sharjah, and the park's homepage places it next to University City. Sources use the names SRTIP, SRTI Park and SPARK, so choose one form for your site and spell out the full name once.
A 2016 report described the park as a planned project of the American University of Sharjah. In July 2023 Gulf News reported that SRTIP would absorb the Sharjah Oasis for Technology and Innovation and operate as an independent free zone authority.
How is the park organised?
The park groups its support into named programmes that a company can describe accurately. Its homepage lists:
- the Prototyping Center, SoiLab, which is the Sharjah Open Innovation Lab;
- Business Accelerators, called SAIA;
- Business Angels, called SBAN;
- freezone and business set-up for start-ups and SMEs;
- events and venue hire.
Gulf News added in March 2026 that BASE39 is a dedicated zone for creative industries, and that the next phase will expand research and development, including advanced prototyping and manufacturing, through the Sharjah Open Innovation Lab. It also mentioned representative offices in markets such as China and India.
How large is the community, and which sectors does it name?
SRTIP reports a community in the thousands, with four named priority sectors. Its board blog of May 2024 cited over 6,000 companies and start-ups. Gulf News reported on 25 March 2026 an ecosystem of more than 7,500 companies, and more than 1,200 licensing transactions, covering new companies and renewals, in the first two months of 2026.
The priority sectors are sustainability and environmental technology; AI, data analytics and digitalisation; healthcare innovation; and advanced manufacturing. If you work in healthcare technology, remember that advertising and licensing rules apply to health products and services, and confirm your wording with the relevant authority or a lawyer.
What should a start-up website prove, and to whom?
It should let a non-specialist decide within minutes whether the technology is real and relevant. Visitors differ, so the table separates what each one looks for.
| Visitor | What they want to find |
|---|---|
| Investor or grant reviewer | The problem, the team, and traction you can document |
| Pilot customer | What the product does, what it needs, and how a trial starts |
| Research partner | Technical depth, papers you may publish, and a way to collaborate |
Do not invent traction: mention pilots, patents or revenue only when you can show a document. Put a short plain-language paragraph on the first screen, which both busy people and AI search tools read first.
Can a custom web app or demo help an innovation company?
Sometimes the clearest explanation is something people can try. We build custom web apps, such as an interactive demo, a calculator or a partner portal, scoped in writing first. We do not build mobile apps or cloud-infrastructure projects, so a product that depends on those needs another supplier for that part. See custom software and AI-search content optimisation.
How does remote delivery from Istanbul work for an SRTIP company?
We work with SRTIP companies online, in writing and through demonstrations. Tooba Web has no office, staff, address or Google Business Profile in Sharjah or elsewhere in the UAE, and no connection with the park. Delivery is from Istanbul, one hour behind the UAE.
A typical start is a screen-share call where you walk us through the product, followed by a written brief on WhatsApp (+90 216 393 10 07). We then send a draft on a private link, collect your comments and revise in rounds. Technical claims stay yours, so we ask you to confirm every statement of fact before launch. Payment is by invoice and bank transfer.
Frequently asked questions
Is SRTIP the same as SPARK?
They refer to the same Sharjah free zone. The park's homepage is titled Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park and uses SPark as its short name, while Gulf News calls it Sharjah SPARK in March 2026. Use one consistent form across your site, and spell out the full name once.
When was SRTIP established?
The University City website says it was established in 2016 by decree of Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. A 2016 report had described it as a planned American University of Sharjah research park, and in 2023 Gulf News reported that it would absorb the Sharjah Oasis for Technology and Innovation.
Can an SRTIP company's website host a product demo?
Yes, if it runs in a browser. We can build interactive demos, calculators or partner portals as custom web apps, scoped in writing first. We do not build mobile apps. We also cannot promise investor interest or customers; the site's job is to make your proof easy to find and understand.
Do you have an office near University City?
No. Tooba Web works only from Istanbul, as part of Tuba Yazılım. We have no office, staff, address or Google Business Profile in Sharjah, so we do not run local map listings for places where we have no presence. Calls, WhatsApp and shared drafts replace site visits.
Should an SRTIP research company publish its papers on its website?
Publish what you are free to publish. We can organise white papers, datasets or technical notes with clear titles, dates and summaries, so people and AI search tools can read them. Check confidentiality and intellectual-property limits with your own adviser; we do not give legal advice and cannot guarantee that any AI tool will cite you.
