Schema Markup (JSON-LD) Generator
Fill in your details and get ready-to-paste JSON-LD for a local business, organisation, FAQ page, breadcrumbs, article or person. Defaults suit UAE businesses, and nothing leaves your browser.
The Schema Markup Generator is a free tool that creates JSON-LD structured data for a local business, organisation, FAQ page, breadcrumb trail, article or person. Fill in the fields, with UAE defaults for emirate, country code, +971 phone and opening hours, then copy the code. It runs in your browser, and the markup must match what your page shows.

What is schema markup and what is JSON-LD?
Schema markup is structured data, written with the schema.org vocabulary, that describes what a page is about in a form machines can read. JSON-LD is the format Google recommends: a small script block that sits in the page and lists facts such as your business name, address, phone and opening hours.
| Page | Useful schema type |
|---|---|
| Home page | Organization or LocalBusiness |
| Contact page | LocalBusiness with address, phone, hours and map coordinates |
| Page with questions and answers | FAQPage |
| Deep pages | BreadcrumbList showing the path from the home page |
| Blog post | Article or BlogPosting with an author |
| Team or expert page | Person |
Schema helps search systems understand a page. It does not guarantee rich results or higher rankings, and eligibility depends on each search engine's own rules.
How do I use the generator with UAE details?
Choose what you want to mark up, fill in only the fields that your page actually shows, and copy the code. The defaults assume a UAE business.
- Pick a type: local business, organisation, FAQ page, breadcrumbs, article or person.
- For a local business, choose the closest business type, such as dental clinic or real estate agency. If yours is not listed, keep LocalBusiness.
- Enter name, website, phone and email. A UAE number is written in international format, for example +971 4 000 0000, and a local number such as 04 000 0000 is converted.
- Enter the street, city or area, and emirate. The country code defaults to AE.
- Set the opening hours for each day. Times are UAE local time, UTC+4 with no daylight saving, and weekend days differ between businesses, so set each day yourself.
- Add official profiles such as your Google Business Profile and social pages under sameAs.
- Copy the code and read the warnings.
What must the markup match on the page?
Everything in your JSON-LD must also be visible to visitors on the same page. Google's structured data guidelines say not to mark up content that readers cannot see, and not to use markup to mislead.
- Contact details: the phone, address and hours in the code must match the page and your Google Business Profile.
- FAQ answers: use the same questions and answers that appear on the page, in the same words.
- Reviews and ratings: add them only if real reviews are shown on that page. This tool does not generate ratings.
- Language: mark up the Arabic page with the Arabic name and text shown on it, and the English page with the English text.
- Updates: when hours or phone numbers change, change the page and the code together, including for Ramadan or holiday hours.
Fake or hidden details can stop your markup being used.
How do I add the code to my site and test it?
Paste the script block into the page it describes, then test the live address with Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator. Both links appear under the generated code.
- Copy the code, including the script tags.
- Paste it into the head or body of the right page, such as the contact page.
- Publish the page and test its public address, not a draft.
- Fix any errors or warnings the tools report and test again.
Use one block per entity per page, and avoid pasting the same business block on every page. Google no longer shows FAQ rich results in search, starting in May 2026, but FAQPage markup is still valid and accurately describes a page.
Which schema type suits my business?
Use LocalBusiness, or a more specific type, when customers visit you or you serve a defined area. Use Organization when you are a company without a public location, and Person for an author or expert profile.
- LocalBusiness subtype: Dentist, RealEstateAgent, Restaurant and AutoRepair tell search systems more than the general type.
- Organization: suits an online-only or remote company, with name, logo, website and sameAs profiles.
- areaServed: list the emirates or cities you serve, such as Dubai and Sharjah.
- sameAs: link your official profiles so systems can connect them to the same business.

Frequently asked questions
What is JSON-LD?
JSON-LD is a format for writing structured data as a small block of JSON inside a script tag. It sits separately from the visible page content, which makes it easy to add and update. Google lists JSON-LD as its recommended format, alongside Microdata and RDFa, for describing businesses, articles, questions and more.
Does schema markup improve my Google rankings?
Schema is not a promised ranking boost. It helps search systems understand what a page contains, and valid markup can make a page eligible for certain rich results where the search engine offers them. Content quality, relevance and the other usual factors still decide how a page performs, so treat markup as support, not a shortcut.
Where do I put the JSON-LD code?
Place the script block in the head or body of the page it describes. Business details usually go on the home and contact pages, FAQ markup on the page that shows those questions, and article markup on each post. Publish the page, then test its public address with the Rich Results Test or the Schema.org validator.
Can I add star ratings or reviews?
Only if genuine reviews appear on that same page. Google's guidelines say markup must reflect content visitors can see and must not be misleading. This generator deliberately does not create rating or review markup, because invented or copied ratings can lead search engines to ignore or penalise your markup.
Is anything I type sent to your server?
No. The generator builds the JSON-LD in your browser, and your business details are never sent to our server or stored. When you refresh the page the form resets, so copy the code first. The two test links open Google's and Schema.org's own tools in a new tab, which are separate from this page.
