SEO and GEO Page Checker

Enter any public page address and get a prioritised list of what to fix: the technical SEO basics plus the structure AI search tools like to quote.

Short answer

The SEO and GEO Page Checker is a free tool that fetches one public web page from our server and checks its title, meta description, canonical, headings, images, structured data, hreflang, redirects and robots rules. It also looks at whether the page opens with a direct answer and whether AI crawlers may read it, then returns a prioritised fix list instead of a score.

What does the SEO and GEO page checker look at?

It reads the HTML your server returns for one address and sorts what it finds into three groups: technical basics, on-page SEO and GEO (readiness for AI search). Each finding says what was found, why it matters and how to fix it.

GroupExamples of what is checked
TechnicalHTTP status, redirect chain, HTTPS, response time, HTML size, noindex in the meta tag or the X-Robots-Tag header
On-page SEOTitle, meta description, canonical, H1 and heading order, image alt text, Open Graph tags, JSON-LD structured data, hreflang, lang and dir attributes, viewport, internal and external links
GEOrobots.txt access for AI and search crawlers, an opening paragraph that answers directly, lists, tables and question headings, FAQ and organisation markup, date signals, text available without JavaScript, llms.txt

Arabic and bilingual sites get two checks that matter in the Gulf: that the lang attribute names the page's language, and that right-to-left pages declare dir="rtl".

How do I use it and read the result?

Type a public address such as example.ae or https://example.ae/services/ and press the button. The check takes a few seconds and fetches the page once.

  1. Start with the items marked Fix first. They can keep a page out of search results or make it unreadable, for example a noindex tag left over from a staging site.
  2. Move on to Should fix and Worth improving. Each one has a short explanation and a concrete fix.
  3. Read the For your information items as context. They are not errors.
  4. Make the changes, run the check again and compare.

There is deliberately no score out of 100. One number hides what matters and invites chasing points, while a ranked list shows what to do first. Use the Copy report button to paste the findings into a message to your team or developer, for example on WhatsApp.

What is GEO and which checks relate to it?

GEO, or generative engine optimisation, means making a page easy for AI assistants and AI search features to find, understand and quote. The checker measures structure that helps with that. It cannot tell you whether any assistant will cite you.

  • Crawler access: whether robots.txt lets search and answer crawlers read the page. Training crawlers are a separate choice and are reported as such.
  • Answer-first opening: a short, self-contained paragraph after the H1, roughly 20 to 80 words, that answers the page's main question.
  • Extractable structure: lists, tables and headings phrased as questions.
  • Entity and freshness: organisation markup and visible update dates, when they are true.
  • Content without JavaScript: the key text is present in the HTML.

For crawler-by-crawler detail use the AI Crawler Access Test.

What can this checker not tell me?

It is a one-page, one-request check from our server. It cannot see rankings, backlinks, whether Google has indexed the page, Core Web Vitals or certificate validity, and it does not run JavaScript, so content added in the browser is not counted.

  • Do not treat it as a full site audit. Run it on your home page and your most important service pages one by one.
  • Treat response time as a rough hint from a single location, not a speed test for visitors in the UAE.
  • The GEO checks cannot predict AI citations and make no ranking promise.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SEO and GEO page checker free, and is my URL stored?

Yes, it is free and needs no account. Our server fetches the page you enter once, together with its robots.txt and llms.txt, and returns the findings. We do not store the address or the results. To prevent abuse we keep short-lived counters keyed by a hash of your connection and the domain, and each connection can run a limited number of checks every few minutes.

Why is there no score out of 100?

A single score mixes unrelated things, so a page can look healthy while hiding a fatal problem such as noindex. This checker ranks findings by impact instead: Fix first, Should fix, Worth improving and For your information. That shows what to do first and avoids implying that any particular number leads to a ranking.

Can the GEO checks tell me whether ChatGPT or Google AI will cite my page?

No. They check structural signals that make a page easier to read and quote: crawler access, a direct opening answer, lists and tables, markup and visible dates. Whether an AI system cites a page also depends on relevance, quality and that system's own choices, so nobody can promise citations or rankings.

Why does it say AI crawlers are blocked when my site works fine?

A site can load normally while robots.txt tells crawlers to stay away. A rule under User-agent: * applies to every crawler that is not named separately, and it is matched against the exact path of the page you entered. Check the robots.txt shown in the details, then use the AI Crawler Access Test to see how your server answers each crawler.

Which pages can it check?

Public web pages on the standard ports 80 and 443, including .ae domains and Arabic sites. It cannot check pages behind a login, local or internal addresses, or sites that redirect to private networks; those are refused. Because it reads one page per run, check your home page and key service pages separately.
